The Brief
FUDGE Professional wanted to update the design for their range of hair colouring products which are aimed at hair stylists. The brand wanted to stick to their edgy roots and and so needed packaging that would reflect their artistic vision, without changing their logo or their typefaces. The challenge was to create one design, adaptable across blonde, brunette and red hair to create a simple colour system which would be easy to navigate.
The Solution
Taking inspiration from the method of mixing, I developed a series of brushstrokes that reflected stylists’ creative use of colour. The brushstroke is then coloured according to the product’s colour. The same theory was applied across the entire range, including developers and toners making the range easier to navigate.
